Our 10 Step process

Initial Consultation & Design Brief
Here we will discuss the vision for your new home. We will ensure that we understand your requirements, and in turn, that you understand our approach and processes. From this initial consultation through to handover, you can rest assured that we will personally manage every aspect of your project.
02.
Site Meeting
Next we will meet with you on site to discuss your block, slope, views and building orientation. We will also discuss any Residential Developments Standards (RESCODE) and planning requirements.
03.
Initial Design Meeting & Costings
Here we will review the overall requirements of your build then present the initial plan and step you through options for finishes and design selections. Costings are then produced to provide an indication of budget.
04.
Building Agreement
Your working drawings are presented, along with site costings and other budget considerations. All documentation is provided to you for review. Only when you are completely happy with the initial design do we proceed with designing your home.
05.
Design Development & Interior Design
We work closely with you to ensure that your design and lifestyle requests are incorporated into your plans. The result is a home that will match your budget and bring together your ideas for your dream home. We guide you through the finishing touches for your interior and provide pricing information.
06.
Pre-Construction Documentation & Final Working Drawings
All working drawings are finalised, including engineering specifications and land surveys. Contracts are prepared and any applications for planning approvals or dispensations are made. Costings are also finalised.
07.
Signing Of Building Contracts
All of our contracts use the plain English Housing Industry Association (HIA) standard. We combine all of your designs, materials, colours and engineering information in one easy to follow specification. Once you have signed and agreed to proceed we begin construction.

Construction Phase
Occman Homes works to strict building timelines and provide regular updates and communication throughout the entire construction process. Our team has an excellent reputation of delivering high quality projects, no matter the size or cost. We pride ourselves in delivering premium quality homes and projects ensuring that all of our quality standards are met and that the workmanship complies with our exacting requirements.

Handover
The day that we handover the keys to your new home is a very exciting moment, and we make sure that you are happy with all aspects of your home. Our success is built on the fact that our customers love their homes and we want you to be part of the Occman Homes family.

Our Ongoing Commitment
We stand by the quality of our homes and the high standard of our workmanship. Your home is covered by a three month maintenance period and backed by a seven year structural warranty.

Knockdown rebuild projects can be a cost-effective alternative to relocating. For many people living in inner-city suburbs, it’s all about location, convenience, and lifestyle. If you live in a great location and don’t want to move, but your home is old, out-dated, or no longer meets your needs, then Occman Homes have the solution.
Occman Homes complete several Knockdown Rebuild projects each year. We appreciate that the demolition of your existing home is only the first step to a much more considerate build, so we take care that any existing trees or landscaping are protected while maintaining an amicable relationship with existing neighbours.
